Ovello Nebbiolo Barbaresco DOCG 2022 - Cascina Morassino
The Barbaresco Ovello DOCG from Cascina Morassino is a wine that embodies all the elegance and tradition of Piedmont. Its deep, brilliant red color is a testament to its intensity. The nose reveals a complex and refined bouquet, intertwining notes of blackberry, black cherry, and ripe berries, enriched with floral nuances of violet, fine tobacco, and a spicy touch of cinnamon. On the palate, it is powerful and velvety, with well-structured tannins that provide length and persistence, accompanied by hints of spice and hints of truffle. Each sip conveys a harmony of strength and delicacy, reflecting the authenticity of its terroir. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the historic Ovello hill, one of Barbaresco's most prestigious crus, where they benefit from optimal climatic conditions. The harvest, done manually in October, ensures grapes of excellent quality. Vinification takes place with temperature-controlled fermentation and a long aging in traditional oak barrels, followed by further bottle aging. A great Piedmontese red, capable of enhancing important dishes like venison goulash, red meats, or pasta with truffles, for memorable gastronomic experiences.
