The Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore DOC 2023 Il Vegro di Brigaldara comes from the Marcellise vineyards, located between 150 and 250 meters above sea level. Made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, it is produced using the traditional ripasso technique: the vintage Valpolicella is refermented on the Amarone pomace for 5-7 days, enriching its aromas and structure. After aging for 18 months in large oak barrels, the wine expresses an elegant and complex profile. It has a brilliant ruby color; the nose offers notes of red plum, marzipan, exotic flowers, and light saline nuances. On the palate, it is juicy and enveloping, with lively acidity that enhances the freshness of red fruit and spices. The finish is long and persistent, with a perfect balance between intensity and harmony. A refined Ripasso, ideal with rich first courses, roasts, and mature cheeses.
